Rodin, the shadow of Antiquity, exhibition
The world of antiquity, as well as the Renaissance, was one of the major sources of inspiration for Auguste Rodin (1840-1917).
The exhibition at the regional museum of Arles Antiquities, entitled Rodin, l’ombre de l’Antique (Rodin, the shadow of Antiquity), proposes to exhibit eight major sculptures by Rodin juxtaposed with antique pieces from the sculptor's extensive personal collection and from the major European museums (the Louvre in Paris, Madrid, Rome etc.).
