Ulysses, exhibition
New work on show at FRAC.
As part of Marseille-Provence 2013, the FRAC Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur in Marseille, true to its mission of supporting artistic creation and public awareness of contemporary art, hosts in its new building an ensemble of monographic and thematic exhibitions, in counterpoint to an ambitious thematic proposal on the figure of Ulysses, which spans the entire Marseille-Provence area in 2013.
This epic theme taken up by many writers and artists, leads to exploring various forms of artistic writing (amplification, derivation, allusion, transference etc.) and addresses a number of cultural notions, philosophical, religious, spiritual, political and social concepts.
