May-Diterranean Festival

Cultural revolution.
Since it was founded, the Mai-Diterranée or May-Diterranean Festival has introduced audiences to the work of thousands of artists from different countries: Albania, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Macedonia, Turkey, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, Israel, Palestine, Cameroon and Senegal.
Culture - and the active and critical memory of this - plays a fundamental role in the Mediterranean tradition. The unifying force that represents the festival demonstrates the common artistic currents and way of life around the Mediterranean sea. The festival generates exceptional creative energy and vitality by bringing together artists, poets and performers from different cultures, backgrounds and religions, offering them a kind of brotherhood through art.
Today this festival is not only a cultural and poetic force but is also working towards a revival of a great European cultural tradition, allowing audiences to become familiar with the many ideas and trends in the field of contemporary theatre.
