The Marseille Festival
Multidisciplinary festival.
The 18th Festival de Marseille, Dance and Multiple Arts will take up residence in some of Marseille's most emblematic sites.
The great black American choreographer Bill T. Jones, a guest artist for the first time in Marseille, will open this year's event at the Silo venue with a program combining reinterpretations and new creations. Another premier at this year's festival is the arrival of major Israeli company, Ohad Naharin's Batsheva Dance Company, at the forefront of contemporary creation.
In the year 2013, the works of four artists from Marseille will be created in coproduction with Marseille-Provence 2013, who will thus have the opportunity to interact with some of the big names of the international scene.
