Hôtel-Dieu - Hostel of God

Dedicated to medicine.
The Hôtel Dieu in Marseille welcomed the sick until 1993 and until 2006 the Marseille trainee nurses. Built on the site of old hospitals, the main building which you can see now was built to the plans of Jacques Hardouin Mansart from 1753. In 1865, the central building was added as well as two wings. The main facade and the two staircases with the ornate cast iron banisters are listed Historic Monuments.
